Artist Bio

Charlotte Formosa is a Welsh artist and illustrator currently off travelling the world. She creates paintings featuring intricate geometric designs, and line-work illustrations of the female figure. The essence of the work is centred around the motifs of colour, shape and pattern. The artist draws using paint pens or fine liners in order to produce precise considered line-work in bold contrasting colours. The underlying themes of the artwork are the exploration of the human form and the human experience. The work seeks to research the concept of identity, and the highs and lows of existing in the human world. Charlotte seeks to connect with the viewer by capturing a relatable emotion in each piece of art.

”My curiosity leads me to seek the weird and wonderful wherever I go. On my wanders around our world, I aim to collect experiences and memories to use as fuel for my artwork. I use my work as a way of recording little moments and expressing feelings I discover along the way.”
